Rosie Cerquone
Rosie Cerquone is a freelance percussionist, singer, and songwriter currently based in Spokane, WA. She performs around the Spokane area as both an all-around freelance percussionist and also as a singer-songwriter, where she plays her original music written for vibraphone and voice. She graduated from the University of Montana in the spring of 2020 with a BM in Percussion Performance and a minor in Media Arts. During her time at UM she studied classical percussion, jazz vibraphone and drum set, steel pan, congas, Middle Eastern hand drumming, West African Drumming, and Balinese Gamelan. She has played with orchestras such as the Missoula Symphony Orchestra, Helena Symphony Orchestra, and with the Great Falls Symphony on a week long tour of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series produced by CineConcerts. She has played in the pit for Missoula Community Theater shows, congas for local Missoula salsa band, Salsa Loca, and she was also a percussionist and backup singer for the Missoula band, The Fertile Crescent. She attended MalletLab 2018 and the first Marimba + Voice Festival in 2019. Rosie is passionate about the growing field of mallet percussion and voice, and is currently working on an album set to release in the fall of 2020.
